With the alphabetical challenge complete, it’s tempting to go back to our previous, rather cheaper, existence with the occasional excursion to the same park or stately home. But we’re not going to do that, because we’re hooked.
So 2014 is going to be about numbers. One to twelve, from January to December. There may be one trip per month, may be several. Bad puns will be essential, as will be other cheats and tricks to make the theme work. But the important thing will be that we continue to go and see stuff that we haven’t seen before.
Dave’s camping kit is being readied for the new season. There will be at least one foreign excursion, and plenty of overnight trips in the UK. We didn’t manage to make it much further North than Hadrian’s Wall last year, so we need to put that right. We are planning to avoid razor clams, infinity mirrors and Burger Kings if at all possible this year, but other than that, who knows: There’s a world full of stuff out there and we intend to go and point at bits of it.
